Derrick O'Reilly

Training Manager

Derrick has over 18 years of experience in the civilian and defence aviation industry and 10 years of military service with the Australian Regular Army. Derrick came to SAAL from BAE Systems in May 2015 where he was an Independent Inspector who also conducted mentoring and aircraft type training. During his time at SAAL, Derrick has progressed through Aircraft Maintenance Engineer positions on the hangar floor, to Team Lead, then to Technical Trainer. Derrick carries out all Mechanical Types training and is responsible for the DASA 147 Training Cell. Derrick has a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and a Certificate IV in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (Airframes).
