At Lockheed Martin, we're committed to fostering a culture of excellence and efficiency throughout our supply chain. By working together to identify and eliminate waste, streamline processes, and drive innovation, we can unlock new levels of performance, quality, and customer satisfaction.

To support this effort, Lockheed Martin is hosting a special 4-session webinar workshop series, designed specifically for small businesses. Over the course of four weeks, we'll delve into the fundamentals of Continuous Improvement, exploring practical tools and techniques that you can apply immediately to drive positive change within your organization.

Our workshop series will cover the following topics, with each session lasting 1 ½ hours:

  • Session 1: Introduction to Problem Solving - We'll introduce the Plan, Do, Check, Adjust scientific method in conjunction with the power of A3 problem solving as a tool for storytelling, thinking through problems, and tracking countermeasures. Session 1 includes describing the problem in terms of the ultimate goal, the target state, the current state, the gap, and the problem statement.

  • Session 2: Breaking Down the Problem and Target Setting - We'll dive deeper into the A3 methodology, covering key sections such as breaking down the problem and target setting. Several tools will teach you where to focus your efforts, and a discussion of waste will help you understand proper target setting.

  • Session 3: Causal Analysis and Countermeasures - We'll introduce Root Cause Analysis as a powerful tool for identifying and addressing underlying issues followed by countermeasures and the tools that will help you perform your job 100% defect free.

  • Session 4: Trystorm, Action Plan, and Impact on the Gap - We'll focus on piloting and testing your improvements with rapid experimentation, creating action plans to implement your solutions, and standardization techniques to drive sustainable solutions and continuous improvement.
